Description: Triflusal (formerly UR1501; Disgren, Grendis, Aflen, Triflux), a platelet aggregation inhibitor and a salicylate analog, acts by irreversibly inhibiting the production of thromboxane-B2 in platelets via acetylating the enzyme COX-1/cycloxygenase-1.
