ProtocolIn VitroTolazoline (Imidaline) can be synthesized by the heterocyclation of the ethyl ester of iminophenzylacetic acid with ethylene diamine, which forms the desired product. The structure of Tolazoline (Imidaline) is strikingly similar to α-adrenergic agonists, which are antiedema sympathomimetics.
