Description: Esculin is a naturally occuring coumarin glucoside that is isolated from the horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum), California Buckeye (Aesculus californica), Prickly Box (Bursaria spinosa) and in daphnin (the dark green resin of Daphne mezereum).
