ProtocolIn VitroAvicularin (10-300 μM, 1 h) exhibits anti-inflammatory activity through the suppression of ERK signaling pathway in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. Avicularin (10-300 μM, 1 h) suppresses NO and PGE2 production in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells.
In VivoAvicularin (injected in articular cavity of the knee, 0.5-2 mg/kg, twice a week for 4 weeks) attenuates the development of OA (osteoarthritis) in ACLT-induced rats.
