Description: 8-Deoxygartanin is a prenylated xanthones found in mangosteen. 8-Deoxygartanin is a selective inhibitor of butylcholinesterase (BChE). 8-Deoxygartanin has anti-Plasmodium activity with IC50 of 11.8 μM against Plasmodium falciparum W2 plants. 8-Deoxygartanin can inhibit the activation of NF-κB (p65) with IC50 of 11.3 μM.
