Description: Vorinostat (formerly known as suberanilohydroxamic acid, MK-0683; CCRIS-8456; HSDB 7930; SAHA; trade name: Zolinza) is a potent, orally bioavailable and non-selective pan-inhibitor of histone deacetylases (HDACs) with antitumor activity.

ProtocolIn VitroVorinostat efficiently suppresses MES-SA cell growth at a low dosage (3 μM) already after 24 hours treatment. HDACs class I (HDAC2 and 3) as well as class II (HDAC7) are preferentially affected by this treatment. Vorinostat significantly increases p21WAF1 expression and apoptosis in MES-SA cells
In VivoVorinostat (50 mg/kg/day) reduces tumor growth by more than 50% in nude mice injected with 5×106 MES-SA cells
These protocols are for reference only. InvivoChem does not independently validate these methods.

Method for preparing DMSO master liquid: mg drug pre-dissolved in µL DMSO(Master liquid concentration mg/mL) ,Please contact us first if the concentration exceeds the DMSO solubility of the batch of drug.
Method for preparing in vivo formulation: Take µL DMSO master liquid, next add µL PEG300, mix and clarify, next add µL Tween 80,mix and clarify, next add µL ddH2O,mix and clarify.
Note:
  • (1) Please be sure that the solution is clear before the addition of next solvent. Dissolution methods like vortex, ultrasound or warming and heat may be used to aid dissolving.
  • (2) Be sure to add the solvent(s) in order.
