Description: Tropicamide (formerly Ro-17683; Ro 1-7683; trade names Mydral; Mydriafair; Mydriaticum; Mydrum), an approved medication used to dilate the pupil and help with eye examination, is a potent anticholinergic and a muscarinic receptor isoform M4 antagonist with important biological activity. It inhibits M4-muscarinic receptor with an IC50 of 8.0 nM. It is short acting drug for mydriasis and cycloplegia when applied as eye drops.

Method for preparing DMSO master liquid: mg drug pre-dissolved in µL DMSO(Master liquid concentration mg/mL) ,Please contact us first if the concentration exceeds the DMSO solubility of the batch of drug.
Method for preparing in vivo formulation: Take µL DMSO master liquid, next add µL PEG300, mix and clarify, next add µL Tween 80,mix and clarify, next add µL ddH2O,mix and clarify.
Note:
  • (1) Please be sure that the solution is clear before the addition of next solvent. Dissolution methods like vortex, ultrasound or warming and heat may be used to aid dissolving.
  • (2) Be sure to add the solvent(s) in order.
