Description: Ravidomycin (AY25,545) is a naturally occuring C-glycosylated naphthoisochromene analog isolated from Streptomyces ravidus; Ravidomycin is an antitumor antibiotic which exhibits potent antibiotic and anticancer properties. It has a role as an antimicrobial agent, an antineoplastic agent and a bacterial metabolite. It exhibits potent anticancer activities against various cancer cell lines in the presence of visible light.
