Description: Plevitrexed (ZD 9331; BGC9331) is an orally bioavailable thymidylate synthase (TS) inhibitor (antagonist) with Ki of 0.44 nM. Plevitrexed is absorbed through alpha-folate receptors as well as reduced folate carriers. Plevitrexed may be utilized in gastric cancer. Plevitrexed is a reagent for click chemistry. It has Alkyne groups and could undergo CuAAc (copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction) with compounds bearing Azide groups.
