Description: Ophiobolin A is a novel and potent inhibitor of calmodulin with antimicrobial and anticancer activity. It is a fungal metabolite and a phytotoxin acting by irreversibly inhibiting calmodulin-activated cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase with an IC50 value of 9 μM.
