Description: (E/Z)-Methyl mycophenolate is the mixture of E and Z-configurational isomers of Methyl mycophenolate which is the methyl ester of mycophenolic acid and an impurity of Mycophenolate mofetil. Methyl mycophenolate is a prodrug of mycophenolic acid (MPA). It is a naturally occuring compound isolated from marine-derived fungus Phaeosphaeria spartinae and acts as an inhibitor of inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH).
