Description: Chelidonic acid monohydrate, a naturally occurring heterocyclic organic acid with a pyran skeleton, is isolated from Chelidonium majus and occurs naturally in plants of the Asparagales order. It has been found to regulate the closing of leaves of Cassia mimosoides at nightfall.
