Description: Teriparatide (HSDB 7367; ZT034; Human parathyroid hormone 1-34; trade name Forteo), a recombinant form of parathyroid hormone (consisting of the first 34 amino acids of PHT), is a potent parathyroid hormone (PTH) agonist that has been approved in 2017 as an anabolic agent for the treatment of some forms of osteoporosis.
