Description: Fomepizole (also known as 4-methylpyrazole, Antizol, Antizol-Vet) is a competitive inhibitor of alcohol dehydrogenase, an enzyme that catalyzes the initial steps in the metabolism of ethylene glycol,ethanol and methanol to their toxic metabolites.
