Description: Nimustine hydrochloride (also known as ACNU), an approved chemotherapeutic drug, is a potent DNA cross-linking and DNA alkylating agent for cancer treatment, it induces DNA replication blocking lesions and DNA double-strand breaks and inhibits DNA synthesis, commonly used in chemotherapy for especially glioblastomas / malignant brain tumors.
