Description: CarfecillinSodium (BRL-3475; BRL3475; Carbenicillin Phenyl Sodium), the phenyl ester and sodium salt form of Carbenicillin, is a semi-synthetic penicillin and a prodrug of carboxybenicillin with improved oral absorption. Upon oral administration, it is broken into the active antibiotic in the GI tract. It is used for urinary tract infections.
